A Jetty for Golden Hour: Fishing, G&Ts, and a Perfect View

Our latest project was all about making the most of a stunning spot overlooking a private dam. The brief was simple but evocative:

“We’d love a jetty we can fish from - and maybe sit with a gin and tonic to watch the sunset.”

That was all the inspiration we needed.

With the rains on the horizon, timing was critical. We got straight to work, ensuring the jetty would be ready before the water levels rose. Every part of the structure was carefully considered - solid posts, durable fixings, and decking chosen for a balance of longevity, strength, and price. Once the timber weathers slightly, we’ll oil it to bring out the grain and protect it from the elements for years to come.

There’s something deeply satisfying about a job like this. Clean lines, solid craftsmanship, and a peaceful view at the end of the day. Best of all, the clients are thrilled and already planning their first sunset session with rod in hand and drink at the ready.
